The Wörthersee:
Mediterranean flair in the south of Austria
On the east shore lays the State capital Klagenfurt, on the west shore the sophisticated seaside resort Velden. From the motorboat or the liner, you have a beautiful view of the landscape from the lake and the mountains surrounding it. On both, the north- and south shore you can spot countless mansions next to each other, which have already served as accommodation for one or two celebrities.
The warm bathing lake, known far beyond the borders, shimmers turquoise green in the sunlight. Relaxed holiday idyll dominates in the lidos, on the cycle path along the lake and on the water during a leisurely boat trip. What at first glance is reminiscent of the Caribbean can be found practically on the doorstep of the Thadeushof hotel. Some holiday guests may have flown many hours to get to know this unique natural and hilly landscape and enjoy it at every turn.

The hiking trail around the Wörthersee
Get to know the lake on a special way. Discover the lake on a 55 km long trail surrounding it completely and enjoy its beauty far away from trivial turbulences.
Make your way through the beautiful hilly environment, with ascents and descents between 440 and 850 metres above sea level. The trail can be started and ended everywhere, as an example, start it right at our doorstep as our hotel is located directly on the trail.
Mountain bike track Techelsberg
A mountain bike route that has it all and offers plenty of variety. Relaxation on marvellous forest and meadow paths to the highest demands on tricky paths.

Route: Thadeushof – Töschling – Tibitsch – Forstsee – Trabenig – Arndorf – Lippitz – St. Martin – Thadeushof, or vice versa
Tip: You can cool off in the Forstsee lake.

Boat hiking around the Wörthersee
First you take the boat from Pörtschach am Wörthersee to Maria Wörth. If you prefer, you can hike along an easily accessible forest path to the number one box seat on Lake Wörthersee, the Pyramidenkogel, or take the boat one stop further to Reifnitz and then comfortably take the bus up to the observation tower. The well-known landmark in the south of Austria offers a 360° panoramic view of the surrounding lakes and mountains.
